north florida: beach in winter (part 2)

 beach mushrooms!  who knew?!

cocoa daisy: january reveal!

can you believe 2016 is upon us?  just one more sleep till the countdown to the new year!  wow!  2015 has been a good one.  i have to say a big thank you to cocoa daisy.  january marks my one year anniversary with them.  i have enjoyed my first year tremendously and am looking forward so much to the next.  they are, after all, responsible for my current planner addiction.  ;)

if you haven't been by cocoa daisy lately, there's lots of new goodies and inspiration to enjoy!

north florida: beach in winter (part 1)

my photography goal for 2016 is to work on my landscape taking skills.

what in the world are these.  i will be back to investigate in the summer.

 so curious!

i love to capture the light!

there are a few confused butterflies as well . . .

north florida: backyard in winter (a.m.)

winter has been too warm this year.  the azaleas are a little confused . . .

quality literature: unbroken

unbroken by laura hillenbrand is quality literature.  it turned out to not be too much about survival on the ocean as i assumed.  it also was not solely about overcoming, although it was definitely that.  the thought that stood out most to me was fear . . . how fear destroys the lives of men and nations . . . and how it can change us from who we are to a people we do not recognize.  it's something to think about in our current political climate.

and this leaves my grand total for 2015 at 27.  not 52, but not too shabby.  on to 2016!
