i cranked through my april project life pages with the january cocoa daisy ditl kit.  april is done!  hoping to finish march soon and then do another flip through video.  i'm into videos lately.  :)

cocoa daisy: post thanksgiving 2014

i'm slowly but surely finishing up my PL/scrapbooking albums from 2014.  This one I'm calling my post Thanksgiving spread.  It covers the last mow of the season, the Cub Scout Thanksgiving celebration, Christmas ornament making, a first snow flurry, and some random selfies.

cocoa daisy: november reveal "gathering"

last night was the reveal at cocoa daisy!  the november kits are called "gathering" and they are just lovely, per usual.  the color combo is a bit unexpected for this time of year which makes it absolutely refreshing.  it was another effortless month on the scrappy front.  i threw together three layouts and two project life pages in one day.  wowzas!  today i worked on my november daisydori planner.  i think it's time to tidy up now and then make a list of what else i want to create with it.  dfefinitely i will need more time with the kitty stamps.  definitely.

i did it!  i finally finished up my january and february pages in my project life albums and made a little video!  please be kind, i have learned my lesson about talking, videoing, and flipping pages all at the same time.  once i get my march and april pages done, i will be sure and get my kid to help me video them!  :)

cocoa daisy: ober gatlinburg

my goodness!  it's a good thing i finally took the time to tidy up the photo files on my laptop.  i had completely forgotten to edit and upload this layout!  i believe it was with the september (or maybe even august) cocoa daisy kit.  and i can't even believe we're getting close to cold weather season again.  brrrrrrr.  nor can i believe that my baby's been a boy scout for months and months now.  time flies.  this was his last big trip with the cub scouts.  i remember being so proud of him for sticking to it in the skating rink even though it made him nervous and he didn't like it much at all.  he persevered.  then i was very thankful that he really took to the skiing and loved it lots.  what a great trip!  we sure did love our cub scout pack and we love our boy scout troop too, we just love scouting.  it's brought and keeps bringing us so many wonderful opportunities and great people.

i absolutely love that christine includes golden highlights in the kits most months. they are a neutral that goes with everything, but still add a little sparkle to my projects.

i have been trying my best to at least get january and february done in my project life albums.  i'm getting very close!  i'd like to be finished by my next chat with debbie hodge at masterful scrapbook design which is two weeks.i can do it!  we're talking about project life, after all.  :)

cocoa daisy: project life mini album #2

well hello friends!  slowly but surely i am making progress on my 2015 project life album.  on thursday i got pictures printed and slotted through april.  it makes me feel good to get them printed, especially since i lost a few when i lost my iphone this summer.

this is a little mini-album insert for the month of february that i created with the september cocoa daisy kits (you NEED the DITL kit, seriously).  

i mentioned before that i'm changing up my project life format a little this year, using different sizes of pocket pages, mixing in a few 8.5x11 layouts with the 12x12's and making these tiny mini-album inserts.  it's a fun change.  i'm almost done with january, so i'll hopefully be making a video of that soon to show you what i'm talking about.

i also wanted to mention that i'm teaching on the topic of project life over at masterful scrapbook design this month.  it's a great line-up that includes my scrap gals pal, tracie claiborne.  check it out HERE.

cocoa daisy: "hemingway" august reveal

i must apologize, but i'm incredibly behind on life right now after getting home from florida sunday at 7pm and heading back to school monday at 7am.  i have an amazing box of cocoa daisy happiness sitting on my desk and this is currently all i have to show for it.  never fear!  i plan to get in the papercrafting groove this weekend and will be flooding the old blog with scrappy goodness next week!  please be patient!  in the meantime, you can check out the design team gallery and cocoa daisy shop for more inspiration.

i'll also try to get better photos taken of these two pages as soon as i can.  the lighting was bad out and i was in a mad rush.  i've also noticed that i need to swap the pics in the top right and bottom left of that first layout anyway.  what is it with me changing things up after the fact these days?

cocoa daisy: july "bistro" reveal

it's reveal time over at cocoa daisy!  there are lots of pretties to see in the store and gallery.  july's "bistro" is pretty amazing!  if you're a subscriber (to the scrapbooking, project life, or planner kit) you can go ahead and make your extra purchases now.  if not, you'll need to wait just a few more days, but you can go ahead and start writing your wish list.  :)

i've made a little dent in my 2015 album finally.  january is halfway done now!  ha!  i know i'm SO behind, but that's okay!  one thing for sure, i'm really liking this mixing in of smaller pages that i'm trying out this year.  hopefully i'll be able to share a little video when i get january done (and get a new iphone).

cocoa daisy: DITL kit (sold out!)

sorry for the weird glare on my photos.  i have barn swallows nesting on my front porch where i normally take these pics.  i hate to disturb them, but i guess i'll have to as these are just bad.  ooops!  but this month's cocoa daisy day in the life kits are amazing per usual and are already sold out per usual.  ashli did a supercute and informative unboxing video of the kits this month and she talks about the perfection of design and quality of product.  it's really spot on.  if you're into pocket pages at all, these are really worth a sub as they're so fabulous month after month.  they also have a nice variety since cocoa daisy uses a rotation of designers.

even if you don't do project life, this is a great kit to have.  these two pages are actually in my 2012 album before i started doing project life.  i find that pocket pages are just so much easier than layouts for doing multiphoto events.  plus, the cards are great on layouts and cards as well.

i also like that you can customize them and that the free (to subscribers) printable coordinates perfectly with it.  i added yellow and red sharpie to the compass rose, trimmed it from the card and added a piece to both pocket pages here.  and the printables give me just enough extra labels and small pieces to finish off my pages.

i'm ready to get going on more scrapping this weekend.  i'm going to get LOTS more mileage out of this kit.
