garden journal: light in the arms of winter

temperatures in the southland dipped into the very low single digits last night.  since we were home from school today because southerners can't handle the cold, i decided be a pansy and go outside in search of beauty in the frozen desolation that is my yard.  the truth is if you look for the light you will always find what is lovely.

  1. Stunning photos, Doris. "If you look for the light, you'll always find what's lovely". Love that.

  2. I love that quote too, and it can apply to life in general too. Really beautiful photographs Doris, I feel like I am there almost. That sky looks like snowy tracks - hopefully there's none of that to come there.

Thank you for joining in again lovely x

  3. Fabulous photos, the light really makes all those colours sing. Very uplifting on the grey damp day we're having!

  4. Lovely light and then that splash of almost unreal red to wake you up with a slap in the eyeballs - wonderful!

  5. The lovely light capture gives a right sense of warmth which is a bit ironic in a way!
